Director, Quality (Finance)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Develop, implement, and maintain a QMS to current AS 9100 and/or ISO 9001 standards
• Maintain certification of QMS (Business Operating System/BOS)for the enterprise
• Establish and maintain QMS certification(s) at Projects as contractually required, or as directed/requested by Operations.
• Develop policies, programs, and procedures relating to all aspects of Corporate Quality and AS 9100/ISO programs to include methods for process control, process improvement and audits.
• Design, schedule, and manage quality audits across the enterprise
• General improvements related to reviews and the establishment of appropriate metrics and key performance indicators.
• Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating procedures related to the quality department.
• Formulate and maintain quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with operating procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize quality, reliability, and minimize cost.
• Assist senior management and Project Quality personnel in the understanding of international standards to include guidance on compliance, inspections, and audits.
• Ensure that the Corporate Business Process model and that the QMS template is implemented throughout the organization.
• Ensure Process Owners have and achieve an implementation timetable by which they will document the current reality as simple, integrated descriptions of policy and processes.
• Monitor BOS for reporting quality issues and activities.
• Interface with IT staff to maintain BOS system integrity and functionality.
• Track the effectiveness of customer satisfaction programs at project locations and report negative trends utilizing a balanced scorecard approach.
• Implement and monitor the 3rd Party Customer Satisfaction Program.
• Closely monitor Contractor Performance Assessments Reports (CPARs) for different contracts/task orders.
• Act as the current ISO 9001 Management Representative.
• Collect and analyze data to report, on a periodic basis, the state of quality, processes and systems performance and report to executive management on quality issues, trends and losses.
• Resolve project quality deficiencies not corrected in a timely manner.
• Work closely with Operations, Human Resources, Finance and Legal as well as Corporate Management to enhance performance as it relates to quality, systems and processes.
• Perform role as quality program manager to ensure the timelines of assigned programs are achieved in concert with other business commitments.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience with 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Compliance
• At least 7 years of experience in managing direct reports at the manager level
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS: ASQ Certification preferred (CQM, CQE, CQA)
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Knowledge of AS9100, AS9110, and AS9120 Physical Demands/Working
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization, with regulatory agencies and customers;
• Well-organized and accustomed to maintaining excellent records;
• A "hands-on" individual who is capable and dedicated to getting the job done with minimal support and direction;
TRAVEL: Periodic for program reviews, audits, and upon request
