Part Time Primary Therapist - IOP (Healthcare)



General Responsibilities:

We are seeking a compassionate, dynamic, and licensed therapist to join our team as a Primary Therapist for our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This role offers a unique opportunity to provide both in-person and virtual therapeutic services to clients navigating substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions. The therapist will facilitate two 90-minute group therapy sessions each evening, with a mix of process-oriented and experiential/psychoeducational groups.

Responsibilities Include:

Facilitate two 90-minute group therapy sessions (in-person and virtual) from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, five days per week:
First Group: Process-style therapy to explore clients experiences and emotions in a group setting, fostering peer support and healing. Second Group: Experiential or psychoeducational therapy, focusing on skill-building, psychoeducation, or therapeutic activities.
Office hours from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM, offering individual support to clients through scheduled appointments.Collaborate with clinical teams and other professionals to tailor programming, assess client progress, and coordinate care.Communicate client attendance and engagement to the operations department in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care and accurate program tracking.Provide utilization review (UR) support, ensuring documentation and treatment plans meet required standards.Develop individualized treatment plans, setting clear goals, and tracking progress in collaboration with clients.Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and UR summaries.Work with a diverse population and address a variety of clinical issues, including but not limited to, substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring disorders.Support clients through their recovery journey by promoting empowerment, personal responsibility, and self-efficacy.

Qualifications:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent licensure in the state of SC].Ability to obtain licensure in both South Carolina and Connecticut (if not already licensed).Experience facilitating group therapy, particularly in a substance use disorder or behavioral health setting.Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).Comfort and proficiency in providing virtual services in a telehealth setting.Compassionate, empathetic, and client-centered approach to treatment.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience in psychoeducational group facilitation and experiential therapeutic modalities is a plus
