Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Facilities Maintenance Specialist located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Specialist role involves being responsible for performing maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment; performs related work as assigned.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Conducts facility inspections to prioritize repairs, improvements, and preventive maintenance while adhering to safety regulations to minimize risks for employees and visitors.
  • Troubleshoots and performs diagnostics for the repair of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Executes skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks, including carpentry, security systems, and basic non-licensed electrical and plumbing work, utilizing hand and power tools.
  • Manages assigned projects, making informed decisions based on experience and notifying supervisors of issues beyond the scope of authority.
  • Reads and interprets work orders to identify material and equipment needs, organizes supplies, and prepares documentation of completed work.
  • Utilizes proper safety precautions in all tasks, reporting problems and managing emergency situations promptly.
  • Assists with event setup and teardown, and maintains equipment, completing daily logs and reports on incidents and requisitions for supplies and materials.

  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to facility maintenance.
  • Strong organizational skills, with experience in managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, with the ability to perform various maintenance tasks including carpentry and installation of security systems.
  • Experience in emergency response and handling hazardous situations in a facility environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues effectively.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
