After School & Summer Enrichment Program Facilitator (Education)



Position Summary: The After School Program Facilitator position is a 12-month part time position that would typically work Monday – Friday between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. following the school calendar and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the summer months. The program serves students in grades 4th to 12th that are involved in the Juvenile Justice or Child Welfare Program.  This position includes responsibilities of transporting youth to and from the Rochester office for programming.  
 
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Education, Criminal Justice or Criminology field from an accredited college or university preferred or High School diploma and at least two years working with youth in any setting.  
  2. Must have a valid driver's license (Pennsylvania or for the state in which resides) and acceptable driving record.
  3. Must be eligible for PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Clearance.
Essential Duties of this Position: 
  1. Strong skills in delivering Cognitive-Behavioral Interventions as well as teaching/supporting skill development in Financial Literacy, Anger Management, Social Skills, Community Service, and Safety to at-risk youth in a 1:1 setting as well as conducting groups. 
  2. Transporting students safely and efficiently for participation in the program. 
  3. Consistent in managing behavioral systems such as token economies for program participants.
  4. Ability to follow and support the writing of program policies and standard operating procedures.
  5. Must be able to meet the hours of the position, which may include evenings/weekends and on-call hours.
  6. Must be able to identify with the agency Mission Statement and support the agency's Core Values. to ensure service delivery aligns with Glade Run's mission: “Founded in Faith and Grounded in Excellence, We Empower Individuals to Experience Personal Wellness and Growth.     
  7. Communicates with family and referring agencies on youth's progress in the program.
  8. Completes monthly reports that are forwarded to referring sources outlining the participants progress and attendance in the program.
  9. Acts as a role model and has the ability to offer support when necessary.
  10. Supports participants in any academic commitments that they may have.
  11. Provide transportation for the students to and from the program as needed.
  12. Attends departmental and professional trainings, workshop and conferences to ensure best practices.

  • Able to arrange for task completion when personal availability is limited, ensuring responsibilities are met.
Physical/Emotional Requirements and Working Conditions: 
  • Must demonstrate strong emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, empathy, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead, support staff, and manage complex social dynamics.
  • Must possess and demonstrate  emotional stability to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
  • Must have audio/visual/verbal acuity to provide supervision for the clients and to perform essential job functions.
  • Must complete and pass Agency Crisis/Physical Intervention training and  have physical dexterity in order to assist in client physical interventions when necessary.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position:  frequently required to stand, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear; frequently required to stoop, kneel or crouch; frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 20 pounds.
