Science Professional III, Environmental Sciences (Finance)

Your Role:

  • Experience and ability to lead technical project teams, client meetings, and support project management and business operations, including proposal writing.
  • Writing technical reports and compliance plans including storm water, SPCC, Hazardous Waste, Air Related.
  • Develop into a seller/doer Project Manager to include exposure/roles in elements of business operations.
  • Highly motivated, detailed-oriented, and self-directed.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff.
  • Review and monitor changes in environmental regulations.
  • Develop and deliver accurate and precise technical documents rooted in regulatory and client requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental/Civil) from a four-year College or university.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with the environmental science/engineering field with direct experience within Commercial/Industrial or Consulting/Engineering sectors in an environmental compliance-related role.
  • Above average proficiency in database and spreadsheet (Excel) usage and management.
  • Ability to critically review staff reports using a combination of experience and specific checklists and provide constructive feedback.
  • Technical writing and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to visit industrial and construction sites where extended time walking & standing may be required, as well as maintain an elevated level of awareness.
  • Valid driver's license with accompanying safe driving record.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen.
  • The ability to travel 15% of your time to customer sites and/or field visits.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree (MS) in Environmental Science or Sustainability from a four-year College or University.
  • Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of compliance and sustainability

This role can be performed from a wide range of locations throughout the US. The pay range for this position is between $60,000 and $70,000 annually. However, the pay offered may vary depending on primary work location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal parity.
