Local Sales Assistant, WTMJ - Milwaukee (Sales)
Are you a detail-oriented professional who thrives on helping others succeed? Join our NBC affiliate station, WTMJ in Milwaukee as a Sales Support Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in keeping our sales department running smoothly while ensuring our clients receive exceptional service.
Contact clients regarding ad materials, pricing, billing or special upsell opportunities
Input ads into the ad order system and assist in collecting/composing ad copy
Work closely with order entry, traffic and layout teams to ensure client advertising schedules are met
Calculate and communicate rate packages to clients and prospects
Assist Sales Manager on special project details including production schedules and rate authorizations
Facilitate and process sales presentations
Generate sales reports
Identify and correct billing errors before month-end
Process client billing adjustments promptly
Attend sales training and planning meetings
Research account problems and develop satisfactory solutions
Handle daily clerical functions including filing, answering phones and creating correspondence
Arrange and distribute advertising materials and sales reports
Provide exemplary customer assistance
High school diploma or equivalent required
Generally 2+ years of experience in administrative or sales support or a related field preferred
Strong customer service skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales demographics information and creative layouts
Ability to generate reports, business correspondence, and presentations
Strong communication skills
Capability to effectively respond to questions from managers, colleagues and customers
Ability to calculate figures related to advertising rate packages
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to learn new software programs such as ad order entry and CRM software
Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Team player mentality both internally and externally
