About the Role

Join a mission-driven team accelerating the transition to clean energy. As a Project Lead III, you'll take ownership of residential solar and home energy projects from start to finish—including design, permitting, installation, and utility approvals. You'll be the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed on time, to spec, and with exceptional service.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the customer's main point of contact, providing timely updates and translating technical info into clear, actionable steps.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and set expectations on timelines and milestones.
  • Coordinate preconstruction steps: permits, utility paperwork, financing docs, and rebates.
  • Track all project stages using Salesforce, TaskRay, and other platforms.
  • Create and manage change orders and project scope adjustments.
  • Collaborate with field teams to schedule site visits, inspections, and labor needs.
  • Identify and escalate complex technical or customer issues.
  • Uphold safety, compliance, and professional conduct standards.
  • Mentor support staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years' experience in residential solar or electrical project coordination, estimating, or management.
  • Deep understanding of PV systems, batteries, electrical load calcs, and permitting.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and working across departments.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, MS Office, SharePoint, and PM tools.
  • Certifications like PMP, NABCEP, or IBEW Journeyman are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Ability to interpret electrical single-line diagrams and scope technical installs.
  • Working knowledge of roofing, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination.

Success Milestones

  • 30 Days: Learn internal systems and manage simple projects.
  • 60 Days: Independently manage all assigned projects.
  • 90 Days: Lead multiple complex projects, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
