We are seeking an Operations Director Energy, to join our Team in Toledo, OH.

How will you contribute to the team?  

  • Responsible for all operational aspects of the X-340 Complex at the Portsmouth GDP under the OSMS contract.

  • Manages 6 HAZ CAT 2 facilities.

  • Consolidates enriched UF6 cylinders for the NNSA defense mission.

  • Manages 150 personnel and $50 million-dollar annual budget.

  • Manages plant operations in a safe, secure manner in accordance with production baseline and implementation plans.

  • Develops resource-loaded schedule.

  • Maintains, repairs and operates facilities consistently in compliance with state and federal laws and regulatory requirements. 

  • Performs S&M of assigned facilities; schedule and manage repairs and outages to maximize safety and efficiency. 

  • Integrates activities to install and commission a new UF6 Transfer process within an existing building 

  • Manages safe processing and disposition of UF6 cylinders of various types

  • Directs the safe, compliant storage of cylinders, and waste pending offsite disposition 

  • Manages characterization of wastes for storage and disposition, treating and preparing waste and ensures adherence to WAC for offsite disposal. 

  • Evaluates and identifies approaches to increase throughput. 

  • Maintains capabilities of onsite sub-sampling laboratory, performing preparation for off-site analysis.

  • Coordinates with other site contractors to ensure no disruption to ongoing operations. 

  • Plans and oversees execution of cylinder S&M, maintaining accompanying database, and safely transferring cylinders between storage and project facilities. 

  • Implements ConOps and conducts of maintenance programs ensuring rigorous ConOps are instilled throughout all facility operations.

  • Operates, maintains, repairs and ensure operational capability for criticality accident alarm system.

  • annually qualified crisis manager for the emergency operations center, participating in drills and simulations to maintain preparedness and is responsible for leading containment and recovery from any events.

  • This position reports directly to the Portsmouth Plant Manager.

  • This position will oversee a staff of 150 with an annual budget exceeding $50M.

  • This position will manage an organization of 150 personnel.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What will you contribute? 

  • BS degree in Engineering or related technical field.

  • MBA and PMP preferred. 

  • 20 years' experience in managing high hazard nuclear facilities preferred. 

  • Safe and efficient management of multiple high hazard nuclear facilities.

  • Skilled at Customer Management, labor relations, setting the right nuclear culture, and delivering shipments of UF6 on time to the NNSA customer.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.
