Family Partner (Bilingual) (Finance)
Conduct developmentally appropriate screening and assessment of children's needs, strengths, and promote healthy child/family development practices.
Conduct child observations and make appropriate referrals for specialized services.
Provide coaching and guidance in the areas of family management practices.
Conduct home, or community visits and provide behavioral supportive services to children and families.
Collaborate with clients and link families to community service providers (F5 FRCs, pediatricians, SARC, etc.) as needed.
Conduct follow-ups and monitor service delivery and client progress.
Maintain confidential client records and files and complete required paperwork including treatment plans, psychosocial histories, and progress notes.
Document all chart contacts within the time-frame established by the agency.
Administer county evaluation surveys as required by contract.
Understand and adhere to the laws governing child abuse and elder reporting.
Attend meetings and trainings necessary for professional development and as required by the agency or its funding sources.
Facilitate Triple P curriculum and/or parenting education programs individually to families or within a group setting.
Act as the ICC coordinator for families receiving Intensive Care Coordination.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Program Manager to support team and agency goals
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of experience working with children ages 0-5 and their families in a community-based setting.
Bachelor's in Early Childhood Psychology or Child Development preferred.
Experience working with low-income and different ethnic populations. Understanding of and sensitivity to economic and cultural issues in diverse communities.
Bilingual/biliterate competence in Spanish/English required or willing to use a translator to provide services.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and collaboration skills, as well as computer literacy.
Experience working in a Medi-Cal driven environment and completing Medi-Cal documentation preferred.
Able to work independently and function as a positive member of a team. Able to meet deadlines.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., sit, stand, bend and stoop regularly in order to interact with young children.
Valid CA driver's license, an automobile for agency travel, and proof of current auto insurance.
DOJ fingerprint and background clearance
TB clearance required every 2 years
Proof of COVID vaccine and booster, highly recommended.
