National Sales, Account Executive (Marketing)



The E.W. Scripps Company is hiring for an Account Executive for National Sales. They will drive revenue growth and provide account management of Scripps' expanding multi-market direct response and pay-for-performance general market retail accounts.

Focus on selling Scripps' enterprise portfolio, with emphasis on linear broadcast, digital and CTV inventories. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage accounts in multiple markets with various national agencies.

  • Submit weekly performance reports to buyers to manage client expectations throughout the campaigns.

  • Identify, develop and grow national broadcast revenue through developing relationships with national/ agencies and advertisers through sales-side platforms integrated with agency demand-side platforms.

  • Work with national/ advertisers to respond to their availability and rate requests, keep them informed of Scripps offerings and market trends.

  • Develop strong and mutually valuable relationships with key national/political agencies and advertisers.

  • Track sales activity Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to exceed ad sales revenue and profit goals.

  • Work alongside sales product leadership to roll out revenue-generating products, data and services through sales channels to achieve sales goals and objectives.

  • Negotiate advertising rates with new and existing accounts to maximize share of revenue.

  • Upsell/cross-sell digital & CTVC inventories to generate incremental revenue.

  • Prepare and present marketing proposals utilizing qualitative and quantitative research.

  • Perform client services, including but not limited to avail presentations, account management reconciliation, credit and collections, package preparations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience

  • Generally 3+ years of experience in related field preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Established relationships with national advertisers and their agencies

  • A strong understanding of television and national advertising trends is desired

  • An understanding of CTV and digital sales encouraged and highly desirable

  • Ability to effectively manage a sales pipeline by engaging national accounts and agencies including face-to-face sales, calling on national accounts and agencies and promoting/selling concepts to agencies and customers

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Highly organized and able to manage high volume accounts

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Proficient in Wide Orbit Traffic and Wide Orbit Media Sales preferred

  • Proficient in broadcast Pay for Performance (P4P) sales model highly desired

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Annual Salary: $105,000.00 - 120,000


 

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in New York.
