Manager, Advisory and Implementation (Legal)

Job Description:

The Manager, Advisory and Implementation, Information Governance position is primarily focused on service delivery activities that are supported and delivered by Epiq's Information Governance practice group.  The focus of the position is delivering advisory and project-based offerings related to security & compliance capabilities embedded within the M365 platform with a deep understanding of Defender and Sentinel, SharePoint Advancement Management, Data Security Posture Management, MDI, MDE, Copilot and MDCA   The position is expected to be directly billable on an hourly or fixed project fee basis with annual billable utilization targets applied individually and practice-wide.  This is a technical, hands-on delivery role with a significant amount of direct engagement with an end client.  The geographic scope for assigned tasks is potentially global with a primary emphasis on services delivered within North America. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defender and Sentinel Management:

    • Implement and manage Microsoft Defender and Sentinel solutions to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Monitor and analyze security alerts, and respond to incidents promptly.
    • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • SharePoint Advancement Management:

    • Oversee the advancement and security of SharePoint environments.
    • Ensure proper access controls and data protection measures are in place.
    • Collaborate with teams to optimize SharePoint usage and security.
  • Data Security Posture Management:

    • Assess and improve the organization's data security posture.
    • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
    • Implement best practices for data protection and compliance.
  • Microsoft Defender for Identity (MDI):

    • Deploy and manage MDI to detect and respond to identity-based threats.
    • Analyze identity-related security incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE):

    • Manage MDE to protect endpoints from advanced threats.
    • Perform threat hunting and incident response activities.
    • Ensure endpoints are compliant with security policies.
  • Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (MDCA):

    • Secure cloud applications using MDCA.
    • Monitor cloud app activities and enforce security policies.
    • Investigate and mitigate cloud security incidents

  • Microsoft Copilot:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency within the organization.
    • Conduct regular evaluations and testing of Copilot to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies to continuously improve and innovate solutions.
    • Train external clients on general use cases for Copilot as well as specific complex, multi-layed prompts for Copilot.

 

Required Qualifications & Characteristics

  • Experience: 3+ years of demonstrable advisory and administrative\support assignments related to the security & compliance functions found within M365 and other related enterprise products.  This can include both enterprise IT support positions or advisory positions with a service provider.

  • Professional certifications in enterprise security and compliance functions are desired: Microsoft 365 Certified  Security Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Symantec Security Certifications. 

  • Education:  A bachelor degree (or equivalent) is preferred, but not a requirement.

  • Exceptional problem solving skills and technical acumen. 

  • Independent direction for daily tasks. 

  • Collaborative mindset and service orientation

  • Domestic U.S. and international travel is variable #LI-TP1 #remote

The compensation range for this role is 150,000.00 to 180,000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.

Your specific salary will be determined based on several factors:

  • Location-based market rate for the role

  • Your abilities in relation to the job specification

  • Performance during screening and interview

  • Pay parity with the wider team in the considered location
