Lead Pharmacy Technician (Healthcare)

The Floor Lead Pharmacy Technician is responsible formanaging the workflowon the pharmacy floor to make sureeverything is done on timeand deliveries arereleased as scheduled. This role directs technicians to the right tasks quickly, keeps operations moving smoothly, and steps in to fix issues before they become problems.
Even during busy or stressful times, the Floor Lead muststay calm and positive, setting the tone for the team and creating an environment where everyone can focus and succeed.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Pharmacist In Charge with daily operations and execution of departmental tasks.Oversee daily workflow to ensure prescription orders, packaging, compounding, and deliveries are processed accurately and on time, including STAT orders.Supervise Floor Technicians to ensure productivity standards are met and direct staff to appropriate tasks to maintain workflow efficiency.Allocate staffing resources based on workload and operational demands.Proactively identify and resolve workflow issues to avoid delays and maintain smooth operations.Maintain a positive and professional attitude, especially under pressure, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.Ensure timely restocking of floor stock and removal of expired medications, maintaining accurate inventory controls.Rotate medication stock to uphold quality control standards.Assist with the processing, recycling, and disposal of returned medications per established procedures.Perform packaging, filling, and shipping of medications, including prepacking floor bulk prescriptions.Uphold pharmacy standards and ensure strict adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Monitor and enforce compliance with safety protocols, attendance expectations, and dress code policies.Communicate important updates effectively across shifts and with leadership to ensure continuity and awareness.Complete any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Pharmacist In Charge.

Qualifications:
Licensed OH Pharmacy Technician required PTCB Preferred.Previous pharmacy experience preferred.Previous data entry experience preferred.Must be reliable and execute multiple tasks assigned.Good organizational skills and detail oriented.Ability to physically perform light lifting.
Shifts:
8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday and every other weekend.
