HR Leaves & Accommodations Specialist (Project Management)



The Human Resources Leave & Accommodations Specialist- Hybrid

Ensures a smooth, orderly, and efficient operation of all applicable leaves and accommodation requests including but not limited to: Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), state leave allowances, personal leaves of absence, jury duty, etc. Primarily helping to coordinate leave paperwork and communication in conjunction with the employee, supervisor, and internal key stakeholders, etc. This position will be principally responsible for ensuring all leave statutes and in facilitating a smooth leave process and will facilitate communication/touch points between the employee and key interfaces within the company. This role will focus on offering excellent "customer service" and optimal relations with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and manage FMLA, state-specific, personal, and disability leave processes

Support employees in navigating leave paperwork and understanding benefits

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal policies

Coordinate workers' compensation reporting, documentation, and safety initiatives

Manage ADA accommodation requests and work with medical providers and supervisors

Assist with payroll processing related to employee leaves

Serve as a backup for benefits-related inquiries and support open enrollment and ACA reporting

Qualifications:

Strong communication and organizational skills

Experience in HR leave administration preferred

Flexible, team-oriented approach

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience

Ability to quickly learn and navigate advanced systems


Compensation:

$21.00-$23.00 Per hour
Hybrid working model out of New Brighton, MN


NAL & HR Leadership expects that this role will spend up to 20 hours per pay period on payroll related duties. At any time, the organizational needs may shift, and this role may go back to just Leave & Accommodation Specialist, and the hours spent on each part of the role may vary from week to week pending the organizational needs.
