Determine and advance strategic purchasing objectives
Ensure supply chain processes are adequate and updated as required
Coordinate processes with colleagues (Buying, Shipping/Receiving, Accounting)
Source and develop vendors for products
Monitor supplier performance to ensure improvements are made in the areas of cost, quality, and delivery performance
Evaluate quotations to determine suitability based on price, availability, and experience
Negotiate terms, conditions, price, or delivery in accordance with management objectives
Oversee the progress of purchase orders, initiate corrective action, and approve payment
Plan and/or oversee the annual physical inventory
Analyze and support completion of final job costing
Coordinate and disposition excess and non-conforming materials
Participate in project meetings as required

Key RequirementsÂ
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Post-secondary education within a program focusing on Materials Management or Business Administration and/or related work experience with a demonstrated ability to fulfill the position requirements
