Outside Sales Representative - Utility Sector (Sales)



We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to grow our business within the utility sector. This role involves prospecting, building relationships with utility companies, and providing product solutions that support utility operations and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the utility market, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to close deals. This team member will focus on the Western Region Utility Division in the key target areas which include WA, ID, MT, OR and CA.

Foster relationships within utility organizationsEstablish and maintain customer relationships to generate profitable sales Drive new business by seeking out opportunities with new and existing customersFocus on transformer sales and repair, field service offerings and surplus buying to increase our inventoryDevelop and execute a territory sales plan to meet or exceed assigned revenue targetsSet strategies for both short term victories and longer-term positioning Preparation of quotations and entering orders per customer specificationsReview quotations and follow up to close businessAttend regional and national trade shows and networking events, as necessaryPlan and schedule customer site visitsCollaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, customer service) to ensure high-quality service and timely delivery Track sales activity using CRM software and provide regular reports to management Other duties as assigned
