Lead Disaster Case Manager (Finance)



Tetra Tech Disaster Recovery Team is currently hiring Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) Lead Disaster Case Managers to assist with relief efforts following Hurricane Helene in the state of Georgia.

The DMCP Lead Disaster Case Manager is responsible for providing supervision and guidance to a team of Disaster Case Managers (DCMs) who provide case management services to disaster survivors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the efforts of DCMs as a team and individually to ensure they carry out project-specific activities to meet program objectives.
  • Exercise normal supervisory responsibilities with respect to subordinates, including those associated with performance appraisals, time keeping, and work assignments.
  • Prepare DCM schedules to cover staffing of DCM offices, community events, and other in-person meetings with survivors.
  • Actively ensure quality case files are maintained.
  • Produce weekly reports for leadership team review.
  • Deescalate or reassign sensitive cases as needed.
  • Identify case management trends or issues and collaborate with other Tetra Tech leaders to find solutions.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, nonprofits, and community organizations, to facilitate access to resources and services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case files and documentation in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate regular in person meetings with disaster survivors at local offices and other locations as needed at the convenience of the survivor.
  • Attend community meetings both in person and virtually.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge of disaster response and recovery strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in related field and 5+ years of related work experience including supervision duties with working knowledge of case management. An additional 3 years of industry experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Must have reliable transportation (Must use your own vehicle).
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to work on site in Georgia and drive during operating hours to work in DCM offices, visit shelters, community events, conduct home visits, and other in-person assignments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional demeanor during incidents.
  • Knowledge of social services resources and support systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Standard Schedule:
  • This is a temporary assignment expected to last up to 24 months.
  • Work hours are typically 8 hours per day 5 days per week. 30 Minute Lunch & 2 Fifteen Minute Breaks
  • Work on the weekend may be occasionally required.

In order to be considered for this position:

1) you must submit and pass a background check; AND

2) your driving record must not indicate any of the following during the past 3 years:

a) Punitive suspension, denial, or revocation of driver's license.

b) Conviction for impaired or intoxicated driving (DWAI, DUI, DWI).

c) Conviction of: reckless driving, driving with a suspended/denied/revoked license, hit and run or leaving the scene.

d) Conviction of 3 or more moving violations, at fault accidents or a combination.

This position with Tetra Tech is temporary and on an "as needed" basis and will end. It is understood that your employment is to be on an "at will" basis.
