Director, Pricing and Billing (Administrative)

Position Summary: The Director of Pricing and Billing is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of pricing strategy, procurement, and billing operations for all freight forwarding divisions, including commercial, corporate, and government. This role ensures competitive pricing structures, accurate and timely billing, vendor quality control, and optimal profitability for all shipments and services. The position requires strong leadership, analytical ability, and cross-departmental coordination to support the company's operational and financial objectives.

Priorities:

  • Revenue Processing & Billing: Manage the processing of all revenue for all freight forwarding divisions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with client requirements; maximize profitability for each shipment at the time of billing, while ensuring compliance with customer contracts.
  • Pricing Strategy & Procurement: Develop, maintain, and adjust competitive pricing structures and procurement SOPs; Conduct supply chain pricing analysis for export, import, third-country, and domestic household goods relocations; negotiate with supply chain partners (domestic and overseas) to secure competitive pricing for all relocation service phases.
  • Audit & Compliance: Oversee client-required audits and respond to audit inquiries and implement correct actions
  • Reporting & Analysis:  Prepare required monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting for freight forwarding division clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:  Provide direct supervision to the pricing and billing team, including workload distribution, performance management and training;  collaborate closely with operations, sales, accounting and leadership teams to align pricing and billing strategies with business goals.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, billing, revenue management, or a related function within the relocation, logistics, or transportation industry.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience managing fluctuating workloads across multiple functions.
  • Excellent vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The pay rate is $104,000 to 116,000 salary equivalent. Starting pay rate will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable agreement. Dependent on the length of service, hours worked, and applicable agreements, benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and optional disability insurance, sick pay of 2.66 hours for every 80 hours worked, Vacation pay of 3.08 hours for every 80 hours worked, paid holidays (6 days annually), three personal days (prorated based on start date), bereavement pay and retirement benefits.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): The following are required to enable job holders to perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, billing, revenue management, or a related function within the relocation, logistics, or transportation industry.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
