DESCRIPTION

Join a dynamic team shaping the future of military planning. As a Junior Military Planner, you'll contribute to impactful projects for the U.S. Department of Defense-supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Space Force-both stateside and overseas. We're looking for a driven, curious professional with DoD experience, strong analytical skills, and a passion for solving complex planning challenges. You'll collaborate within our Federal Planning Practice on master plans, charrettes, facility studies, and programming efforts, including DD Form 1391 development. This role offers the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders, travel, and make meaningful contributions to national defense infrastructure. Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in urban planning, project management, landscape architecture, architecture, civil engineering, environmental science, geography, or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with or for the U.S. Department of Defense on planning or planning-related projects; please specify which Service(s) in your application.
  • Experience collecting, compiling, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting reports and projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Availability to travel to client sites in the U.S. and overseas (25% of time).
  • This role requires U.S. Citizenship, due to project requirements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Esri ArcGIS suite and/or AutoCAD.
  • Experience with U.S. Department of Defense software and data systems; please specify which systems in your application.
  • AICP Candidate or demonstrated progress toward other related professional certification (e.g., GISP).

COMPENSATION
The range for this role is $67,049 - $88,022; this will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.

THIS POSITION CAN BE REMOTE, IN-PERSON (MOON TOWNSHIP), OR HYBRID; PLEASE NOTE FOR REMOTE THAT PERIODIC ON-SITE TRAVEL TO CLIENT SITES IS REQUIRED.
