Industrial HVAC and Chiller Technician (Manufacturing)



We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC/R Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial, industrial, and/or residential settings. This role is essential in ensuring that our equipment runs efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC/R system issuesPerform regular maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration unitsInstall new HVAC/R systems and componentsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsEnsure all work complies with safety policies and local codesMaintain accurate records of work performed and parts usedProvide excellent customer service when interacting with clientsMonitor and test systems for proper functionality and energy efficiencyRespond to emergency repair requests promptly

Requirements:
High school diploma or GEDHVAC/R certification or technical degreeEPA Section 608 certification requiredMinimum 2 years of experience in HVAC/R service and installationValid drivers license and clean driving recordStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently or as part of a teamComfortable working in a variety of environments and weather conditionsMust be able to lift 50 lbs. and work on ladders or in confined spaces
Position Summary:
As an HVAC/R Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across our production and warehouse facilities. These systems are vital to ensuring consistent process temperatures, safe working conditions, and equipment reliability in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems used in manufacturing operationsMonitor and maintain process cooling systems for plastics extrusion and thermoforming equipmentDiagnose system malfunctions and recommend appropriate repairs or replacementsPerform preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems to minimize production downtimeRead and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematicsMaintain detailed service records and documentationEnsure all systems comply with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulationsCoordinate with production and maintenance teams to support equipment cooling needsRespond promptly to emergency repair requests to maintain continuous production flow

Requirements:
High school diploma or GEDHVAC/R certification or technical school degreeEPA Section 608 Certification requiredMinimum 5 years of HVAC/R experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing settingStrong understanding of industrial ventilation and process coolingExcellent troubleshooting and repair skillsAbility to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spacesValid driver's license and reliable transportationAvailability to work occasional weekends, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with plastics manufacturing environments; but will be trained on the equipment.Familiarity with chilled water systems and industrial ventilation controlsKnowledge of energy management systems and building automationForklift and aerial lift certifications (or willingness to obtain)
