Warehouse Supervisor (Information Technology)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
People: Supervise daily shipping and receiving/warehouse operations
Ensure employee and product safety, enforcing regulatory and corporate policies.Promote employee engagement and involvement in operational success.Schedule staffing to meet service and operational requirements while minimizing costs.
Service: Maintain excellent customer service to Distribution Centers, Customers, and Suppliers
Order Fill: Achieve targeted order fill rates and on-time deliveryReceiving: Unload materials in accordance with Receiving schedule
Costs: Manage operations within planned budgets
People: Manage staffing and scheduling to minimize overtime and absenteeism costs.Facilities: Maintain equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) and building operationsProduct: Maintain inventory control and ensure proper handling and rotation of finished goods and materials to minimize damage and obsolescence.
Management Skills
Strong customer service orientation with the capacity to interact with Sales personnel, Warehouse team, other managers, vendors, and drivers.Ability to operate under pressure and prioritize effectively.Maintain warehouse staff job performance by coaching, guiding, and disciplining employees.Train and onboard new employees as necessary.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
Self-starter with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a teamBasic computer skills (Microsoft application)Attention to detail and ability to complete required documentation for shipping product (Bill of Ladings, etc.)Ability to read and interpret reportsBi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferredLEAN manufacturing expertise desired
Certifications and Licenses
Forklift Certification desirable
Required Education and Experience
A minimum of 2 years prior experience managing a warehouse or distribution centerA minimum of 2 years working in a food manufacturing facility or similar environment preferredHigh School diploma required; Bachelors degree preferred
Work Schedule and Location
The typical work week is 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week. Scheduled hours may vary based on business need.This role is onsite at the McClure Road location. No travel is expected for this position

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment & Conditions
Work is normally performed in a warehouse/production type atmosphere where the temperature is as low as 32 degrees, low environmental temperature levels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals. Employee should read the warning labels for information and instructions. Rizo Lopez maintains Safety Data Sheets (SDS) as required by law on hazardous products. SDSs are kept at the office for review by employees.
