Sr Strategic Sourcing Manager - IT Category Management (Finance)
Honeywell - Solstice Advanced Materials is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Manager Strategic Sourcing - IT Category Management to lead strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives across multiple IT indirect categories (Software, Hardware, Services, etc). This global role will be based in Morris Plains, NJ or Houston, TX, and will play a critical part in building strategy and execution for the assigned categories. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end category management, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier onboarding, risk management, and driving sustainability and supplier diversity initiatives. This role will also lead continuous improvement efforts, develop procurement policies and procedures.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in procurement, with a focus on IT categories.
- Proven international experience and global category management expertise.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Strategic Sourcing
- Partner with global business stakeholders to develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies.
- Lead competitive bidding, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and onboarding.
- Apply advanced procurement levers such as demand management, specification rationalization, and policy controls.
- Prioritize high-value initiatives and drive innovation in value creation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Collaborate with senior leaders across Honeywell - Solstice Advanced Materials to clarify business requirements and align procurement strategies.
- Drive proactive communication and support strategic decision-making.
- Leverage zero-based budgeting principles to optimize spend.
Global Category Management
- Analyze spend data and future demand to shape category strategies.
- Maintain market intelligence and understand supply economics and cost drivers.
- Align internal demand with market insights to develop actionable strategies.
- Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Cost Optimization & Savings Delivery
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies aligned with business needs.
- Drive competitive pricing and total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements.
- Track and report savings initiatives, forecast vs. actuals, and maintain a robust savings pipeline.
- Promote consumption optimization and value engineering across categories.
Contract Management
- Ensure compliance with master service agreements and specific contracts.
- Monitor contract lifecycle and proactively manage negotiation phases.
- Collaborate with operational teams on RFQs and contract setup.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers within assigned categories.
- Assess and segment suppliers, ensuring high engagement and risk management.
- Lead supplier performance reviews, development activities, and compliance monitoring.
- Drive supplier excellence through KPIs, scorecards, and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Continuously evaluate and enhance procurement processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
- Develop and implement best-in-class policies and performance metrics.
