IT Asset Manager - II, Senior, or Lead (Information Technology)

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. While we strive to provide competitive and transparent compensation, there may be circumstances where an offer is above or outside of the listed range. We are open to discussing salary expectations with qualified candidates considering factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location will all be considered during the hiring process.

Lead IT Asset Manager  | Pay Range: $95,200.00 - $123,700.00

Senior IT Asset Manager  | Pay Range: $76,000.00 - $96,900.00

 IT Asset Manager II  | Pay Range: $68,600.00 - $85,750.00

If so, Southwest Power Pool is looking for an experienced and driven IT Asset Manager to lead the transformation of our IT asset lifecycle. If you're an expert in ServiceNow with a deep understanding of CMDB best practices, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do: 

  • Take ownership of the full lifecycle of IT assets – from acquisition to retirement – including hardware, software, and virtual assets.

  • Lead the management and optimization of the ServiceNow Asset Management module, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and automation.

  • Oversee the design, maintenance, and governance of our CMDB, aligning with ITIL and enterprise standards.

  • Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, procurement, and finance teams to track assets, ensure compliance, and support audits.

  • Develop reconciliation, normalization, and discovery processes that reduce risk and improve data quality.

  • Analyze asset data to uncover cost savings, usage trends, and opportunities for optimization.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in asset and configuration management processes.

To Be Successful, We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an Information Technology related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Lead: Minimum of Ten (10) years Information Technology experience
  • Senior: Minimum of 6 years Information Technology experience
  • Level II: Minimum of Three (3) years Information Technology experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Proven experience in IT Asset Management and Configuration Management.

  • Deep hands-on expertise with ServiceNow, especially Asset Management and CMDB is required.

  • Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks (v3 or v4 certification is a plus).

  • Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of utility industry experience

  • ServiceNow experience
  • Advanced ITIL training and certifications

  • Training, certifications, and/or substantial experience in Asset Management, Change Management, Release Management, Configuration Management, and Problem Management.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type, Location, and Hours:

This is a full-time, hybrid onsite position located in Little Rock, Arkansas. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional extended hours as needed. Remote work may be considered for senior-level candidates who reside more than 50 miles from SPP headquarters.

Travel Requirement:

  • This position requires occasional travel, up to 10%.
