Kidz Zone Attendant (Babysitting & Child Care) (Personal Services)

Are you energetic, responsible, and love working with kids? The Hagerstown Field House is seeking a motivated Kidz Zone Attendant to join its team. If you're someone who enjoys creating a fun and safe environment for children - and you're looking for flexible, part-time hours, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Kidz Zone Attendant, you'll play a key role in ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging play area for our youngest guests. You'll supervise children, participate in crafts and activities, and help foster a positive and memorable experience for kids and their families.

This position reports directly to the Youth Program Director and is a great fit for students, caregivers, or anyone looking to work in a fun, active environment with a flexible schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise children and enforce any Hagerstown Field House rulesMake sure the area is safe for children to playClean the Kidz Zone and surrounding areaMaintains order in the Kidz ZoneParticipates in crafts and activitiesPerform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by the Youth Director and/or the General Manager

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Minimum of 18 years of age.Pass required background screenings

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Computer Skills: Upon hire and training, the individual must be able to successfully utilize the Hagerstown Field House Member/Guest registration software and Timeclock software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the following within 90 days of employment:
CPR/AED Certification
