There is an immediate opening for an experienced Program Principal within the Global Engineering Projects team at Honeywell UOP LLC based at Rosemont, IL. As a key member of the Engineering Projects team, you will use your project management experience and technical knowledge to lead Basic Engineering projects for our customers worldwide. This position is responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplined engineers, project controls, etc., driving ownership at all levels to successfully deliver designs meeting all contractual requirements within budget. The position is responsible for providing leadership, support, and guidance to team members while maintaining positive relationships with the customers. You will be an ambitious Project Manager in a visible position to interact directly with peers and leaders with a capability to multitask, solving problems and looking to forge a career within a global business.

Travel required: up to 20% globally.As a Program Principal here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in guiding and overseeing the successful execution of customer programs.YOU MUST HAVES

  • 8+ years of Project Management or equivalent experience at EPC contractor(s)

WE VALUE
  • College degree in Mechanical, Civil or Chemical Engineering preferred
  • PMP Certification
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly in cross-functional collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities including ability to manage complex, multi-dimensioned customer interactions
  • Exceeding internal and external customer expectation and comprehensive problem-solving skills
  • Effective organizational skills and experience preferably in an international, multi-site and multicultural business environment
  • Detailed experience with process engineering, planning, cost estimating, scheduling, procurement, and customer & change order management on refining, petrochemical or gas processing
  • Construction/installation experience with refining, petrochemical or gas processing plants
  • Ability to influence and energize others as well improving performance, meeting commitments, and getting results
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), Microsoft Project
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the activities of a project team throughout the life cycle of a project from start to close-out phases
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project execution plan, including schedule, cost, and staffing requirements
  • Review performance data (financial, budget, sales, and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels
  • Maintain a positive relationship with customers
  • Manage and coordinate meetings with clients and subcontractors
  • Lead a team of multi-disciplined engineers, subcontractors, and service providers by providing clarity to scope of work and driving ownership at all levels to ensure implementation and delivery of all contractual requirements
  • Track and control costs within budget
  • Maintain accountability of team members for conformance and accuracy for their scope of work
  • Drive schedule and oversite of internal teams and subcontractors
  • Issue internal and external meeting reports as required
  • Manage change orders, document reviews, punch list resolutions, and project close out

Compensation: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $148,500 - 180,000.
