Operations Onboarding Coordinator (Project Management)

Position Overview:
The Operations Onboarding Coordinator supports the successful transition of new employees into operations roles during their first 90 days. Reporting to the Learning & Development Business Partner, this role helps build confidence and retention by guiding employees from Day One through their probationary period. The coordinator plays a key role in connecting new hires to training resources, reinforcing safety and performance expectations, and acting as a friendly, knowledgeable point of contact as they learn to navigate the production environment.
Responsibilities:
Welcome & Onboarding
· Prepare new hire materials including schedules, training journeys, lockers, PPE, and orientation packets.
· Lead Day 1 welcome activities, including facility tours and classroom sessions on safety, quality, and company policies.
· Ensure a smooth and engaging first-day experience for all new hires.
Training & Readiness Tracking
· Monitor onboarding progress and ensure alignment with training schedules and milestones.
· Track completion of checklists, SOPs, hands-on training activities and sign-offs through the training journey.
· Maintain accurate records of 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins.
· Partner with floor-based trainers (TTS) to assess readiness and escalate concerns as needed.
Production Floor Integration
· Accompany new hires to their assigned areas and help build a comfortable work environment and team.
· Reinforce basic floor expectations (PPE use, clocking in/out, break schedules, cleanliness)
· Serve as a go-to resource for early-stage questions and direct employees to appropriate contacts.
Retention & Engagement Focus
· Conduct 1:1 milestone check-ins at 30, 60, and 90 days to gather feedback and provide support.
· Identify and report trends or barriers affecting onboarding success.
· Collaborate with L&D, HR, and operations leadership to continuously improve the onboarding experience.

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
· 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in food or beverage.
· Experience in onboarding, training coordination, or employee engagement is a plus.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple onboarding schedules.
· Familiarity with GMP, food safety, and workplace safety protocols.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Hours, Location, and Pay:
We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This role works Tuesday- Friday, 6:00 am- 4:00 pm or Tuesday 6:00 pm- Saturday 4:00 am at our Little Chute, WI manufacturing facility.

Physical and Mental Demands:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.

· Mental demands include multi-tasking, decision making, problem solving, comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, and synthesizing data.
