What is your impact?

As a Solution Engineer you will harness your technical expertise to design and install Substation, BESS, Solar, and Rail Electrification systems for projects ranging from 765kV to 11kV. Reporting directly to the Head of Solutions, you will collaborate closely with local project engineering teams and the GETs team. This individual contributor role, which does not involve direct reports, offers significant growth potential. Within the next 3-5 years, you may transition into roles such as Primary Application Engineer, Tender Manager, or Procurement Manager, depending on your suitability and performance.

What will you do?

Technical Expertise:

  • Develop, design and review GET's design document of all tenders relates solution effort. • Provide technical support and contribute to the development of tender scheme options and related scope documents.

  • Review vendors offer in the tender stage as needed.

  •  Develop technical specifications and material schedules for HV & mV primary equipment.

  •  Undertake and review primary design and calculations, grounding and lightning design, steel design inputs, transformers, converters/rectifiers, HV and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear systems, auxiliary power AC and DC systems, power cables, Request for Quotation (RFQ), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Design Safety Lifecycle Plan (DSLP), earthing system, busbar sizing, and cable engineering. Design and Collaboration:

  • Lead and participate in design and standardization review meetings.

  • Provide technical support to the Tender Manager.

  • Develop tenders and proposals as assigned by the line manager. Position Interactions:

  •  Collaborate with Line Managers for domain knowledge, training, and conflict resolution.

  •  Engage with other engineering functions, including HV cables, civils, commissioning, secondary systems, engineering support, and lead engineers.

  •  Interact with site managers, commissioning, test engineers, and installation teams and gather lesson learned data to implement in tender stage.

  • Work closely with suppliers for technical alignment and review.

  • Engage with wider project teams, including project managers, planning, tendering, and supply chain.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve tender documentation (technical) in accordance with established standards & Bid documents.

  • Ensure that own work packages and delegated work packages align with tender program, scope, and allocated budget. Required skills and experience:

Who you are?

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering as minimum and have knowledge of engineering as coop or as an engineer for 6-10 months in substation design, scope review, vendor offer review.

  • Knowledge in Outdoor and Indoor substation equipment, primary engineering, design calculations and AC & DC auxiliary system.

  • Microsoft Office Suites: Familiarity with Microsoft Office suites. Preferred qualifications:
