Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Wax Setup Opr to join our Howmet Casting located in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Afternoon position are Monday through Friday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM.

New Hire Starting Hourly Rate: $25.56; After 12 Months: $28.23

POSITION OVERVIEW

The set-up operator assists in preparing the injecting machines to inject the correct pieces for the daily schedule.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals.
• Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report all job related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
• Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
• Attend all EHS training.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assists and trains new employees in correct injection procedures.
• Sets up and trial operates any injection machine or mold as directed by the foreperson.
• Inspects work performed against established quality limits.
• Manufactures mold spray per SPI and formulation instructions.
• Moves cores from the core stock room to the core prep area.
• Makes minor repairs on injection presses and any other equipment in department.
• Assists in start of run & end of run patterns.
