Product Developer Specialist

The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Product Developer Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading technical design effort by working with cross functional teams to progress projects through a new product development and commercialization process to take concepts through to launch.
  • Helping to determine wound healing related user needs and leveraging expertise to develop and advance technologies that can solve for our customers.
  • Contributing to the project schedule for design and technical aspects of the project and providing input as a member of the technical team.
  • Protect Solventum intellectual property through the filing of new patent applications, publish in top-tier journals, and present at appropriate conferences.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND 7 years of experience in product development in a regulated environment in a private, public, government or military setting.

OR
  • High School Diploma/GED AND 11 years of experience in product development in a regulated design environment in a private, public, government or military environment.

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Medical device or pharmaceutical design and development experience.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts, to build networks and convey a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Experience of prototyping using medical related materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree or higher degree in a in a materials or scientific discipline from an accredited institution.
  • An understanding of wound care, the wound care industry and associated international standards.
  • Background in regulated industry for medical devices or pharmaceutical products, including FDA, ICH and ISO requirements.
  • Project management training and/or experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes for raw materials or commercial products.

Additional Requirements

In this role, you may be required to enter healthcare or other third-party facilities. Those facilities may, in turn, require you to possess certain licenses, vaccinations, and/or other credentials or qualifications (collectively "prerequisites to entry") for regulatory, safety, or other business reasons. All information will be kept in accordance with applicable law and Solventum policies. In order to respond to the prerequisites to entry, Solventum may share your information with the providers of medical screens, vaccinations, or verifications as well as the healthcare or other third-party facilities requiring the prerequisites to entry.

Work location: Onsite Maplewood, MN / Eagen, MN in 2026

Hybrid Eligible Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood at least 4] days per week.

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international.

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $137,439 - $167,981, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
