Sr HSE Engineer (Finance)

As a Senior HSE Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's health, safety, and environmental engineering efforts. You will ensure the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with environmental regulations, and the implementation of best practices in engineering-related safety.

You will report directly to our HSE Manager and you'll work out of our South Bend, Indiana location.

In this role, you will impact our organization by overseeing the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HSE Risk Identification & Control

• Ensure regulatory and Honeywell compliance

• Liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders

• Strengthen HSE culture

• Advocates HOS behaviors

• Increase HSE Acumen of all associates.

• Measures key HSEF metrics and improves performance

• Identifies and implements broad-based safety initiatives

• Execution of site projects

• Champion information management and process excellence

This role supports a proactive safety culture through strong site relationships, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of HSE and Business Resilience processes. Working independently, the candidate will drive key safety programs, influence cross-functional teams, and ensure integration of HSE best practices into operations to support a safe, sustainable work environment.YOU MUST HAVE

• 3+ years of HSE experience

• Bachelor's Degree. Preference in engineering, manufacturing, safety, environmental science, or related field.

• Thorough understanding of HSE regulatory requirements and professional best practices.

• Highly motivated, energetic, self-directed individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Mature judgment and decision-making ability, with strategic and tactical experience.

• Exceptional skills in building interpersonal relationships, including high degree of tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence.

• Exposure to RCRA, and other environmental regulations

• Experience participating in audits and implementing management systems.
