About The Role

Essity is looking for a Sales Development Specialist to support the Western US Regions. The Sales Development Specialist is involved in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue for a regional Wholesale and Office channel. You will be responsible for researching market trends, identifying potential partners and customers, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to think creatively to identify new opportunities for growth.

This will be a remote position responsible for supporting the Western US Regions. The ideal candidate could be based in Los Angeles, Seattle or in the aligned Essity Regional structure near a major airport with ability to travel often.

What You Will Do

  • Being responsible for acquiring new customers (Associate Distributors and end customers) and developing new business opportunities with existing customers.

  • Identifying new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, and market research. Leveraging technology and internal information systems to make data-driven decisions in the prospecting process.

  • Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of new business opportunities by proactively contacting and calling leads and by working closely with the digital marketing engagement team to leverage digital marketing.

  • Creating and delivering persuasive and engaging presentations and proposals to customers and articulating the products and solutions' impact on the customers' business.

  • Negotiating contracts and closing sales through collaboration with your Wholesale and Office Account Manager teammates.

  • Managing the sales pipeline, including forecasting and tracking metrics to measure performance.

  • When an opportunity has been closed, ensure that the customers needs are met (Associate Distributor training, etc.). Follow the opportunity through to the fulfillment stage, highlighting any challenges that need to be addressed to maintain the sale and continue to develop the account.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing (relevant experience considered). 

  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience.

  • Self-motivated, with a passion for technology and working in hybrid environments. 

  • Experience working with CRM systems (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics.com) to manage and develop business preferred.

  • Experience leveraging MS Office, MS Teams, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator among other digital platforms to drive successful sales efforts.  

  • Strong communicator who thrives in both team settings and independent work. 

  • Ability to work virtually with internal and external stakeholders and motivated to continue to develop overall digital fluency 

  • Interested in sustainability and excited by the opportunity to make a real-world impact. 

  • Able to travel up to 40% for client meetings and networking opportunities.

  • Strong drive for results and sense of urgency, self-starter with a strong work ethic.

Compensation and Benefits

$70,000 - $85,000 annual salary range + annual sales incentive + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
