Your Role: Field Sales Trainer

The USPH Field Sales Trainer (FST) will report to the USPH Selling Effectiveness & Leadership Advisor and play a pivotal role in enhancing the selling capabilities of our sales representatives. Working closely with District Managers, the FST will strive to ensure field execution excellence and raise performance standards across the region.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Coach & Develop Field Teams: Observe sales calls, deliver constructive feedback, and co-create development plans to enhance performance and support continuous growth.

  • Assess & Address Training Needs: Identify regional training gaps and design targeted solutions informed by industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive insights.

  • Measure & Report Training Effectiveness: Evaluate trainee progress and program impact, providing regular reports to the Senior Director of Training and recommending improvements.

  • Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with District Sales Managers and field representatives to ensure alignment, support, and execution of training initiatives.

  • Design & Deliver Training Content: Develop and maintain up-to-date training materials consistent with Elanco's brand standards, lead workshops, and facilitate sessions at key conferences.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is desired.

  • Experience: 7+ years of direct selling experience to veterinarian customers or equivalent.

  • A strong understanding of Customer Value Selling sales processes, brand management, and marketing principles.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others without direct authority.

  • Exceptional verbal, interpersonal and writing skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Travel: Up to 75%

  • Location: Remote

  • Level P4

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $111,100.00 to $148,100.00 depending partly on the successful candidate's qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance). Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees that includes a company-matching 401(k); vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death ­benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
