Business Office Lead (Administrative)



The purpose of the Business Office Lead, under the direction of the Compliance and Education Nurse, is to support the staff and business office operations for Cascade Surgicenter (CSC). This is a full-time on-site position.

POSITION DUTIES
A. The Business Office Lead manages the business office staff and operations. The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
1) Lead CSC business office staff in the areas of compliance, front desk/reception, scheduling of surgical procedures, and transcription of operative procedures in accordance with facility policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives.
2) Maintain the general work flow and training of business office staff.
3) Maintain accurate time-off and coverage schedules.
4) Be a resource for business office staff.
5) Help staff improve their skills and knowledge through day-to-day coaching and problem solving.
6) Maintain accurate and up to date work resources for both new and existing employees.
7) Promote a favorable image of the facility to physicians, patients, insurance companies, and the general public.
8) Develop and maintain an organized storage system for timely retrieval of individual medical records
9) Arrange for confidential, safe off-site storing of medical records per facility policies and procedures
10) Arrange for appropriate disposal of medical records per facility policies and procedures
11) Daily distribution of mail
12) Daily completion of deposit and cash management monthly.
13) Manage in-office surgery scheduling needs
14) OIG & GSA reporting
15) Produce the facility dashboard report for accounting.
16) Work with accounting when there are payment discrepancies when compared to deposits.
17) Perform collection, processing, filing, maintenance, storage, retrieval and distribution of medical records

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Business Office Lead must be skilled in the following:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (or similar programs) and automated computer billing systems.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Supervisory experience.
ASC experience.
Accounting experience in a medically-related environment.
Basic knowledge of accounting procedures.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
High School diploma or GED required.
