This position is responsible for the direct supervision of skilled and unskilled Light Rail Maintenance personnel in the inspection, maintenance, and repair and cleaning of the Light Rail Vehicles. This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to the rules and regulations of the RTD Drug & Alcohol Policy.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
ESSENTIAL:  

  • Recruits staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling to ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines, processes, and procedures.  Conducts performance review, and holds employees accountable for performance of their responsibilities.
  • Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs and monitors maintenance activities to ensure quality control and compliance with organizational goals. 
  • Conducts inspections of work area to ensure clean and safe working conditions 
  • Develops, updates and maintains procedures, presentations, bulletins, maintenance manuals and parts manuals.
  • Responds to emergencies, accidents, snowstorm support, special event support and special assignments as needed.

  • All job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Associate's Degree in electrical technology, or a closely related field of study.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in electrical, mechanical or hydraulic heavy duty equipment repair.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Certified Electro-Mechanic.
  • Valid Colorado CDL 2 driver's license.
  • Proficient in electrical safety and safety related rail systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to use sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.

Pay Range:

$84,407.00 - $119,224.25 Annual
