Strategic Training Lead, Associate Director (Project Management)

A Brief Overview

Lead and oversee the development and implementation of training programs (modules, assets, training sessions) for the EBD franchise. Provide strategic direction of all global training efforts for EBD across regions. Provide expertise to analyze, design, develop, implement, and review a comprehensive set of learning solutions for the EBD franchise, incl. the creation of learning modules and assets. Lead the execution of the training programs for the Regional Train the Trainers and Global Speaker Pool ensuring a holistic and consistent approach across regions.

The position collaborates closely with the EBD Strategic Marketing team, Digital Marketing, Global Medical Affairs, Global Regulatory Affairs, GPRE, GRC and Regional Marketing, among others, to identify training needs, design effective learning solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of training initiatives. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the EBD franchise's goals and objectives.

What you will do

  • Global Training Strategies Development: Develops the global training strategies and deliverables of training modules and assets for the brands of the EBD franchise and future innovations in alignment with the overall brand strategy and business goals.
  • Training Program Design and Technology Integration: Designs and develops training programs that address the EBD franchise needs, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and formats. Incorporates technology and innovative methodologies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of training.
  • Training Needs Identification: Conducts regular assessments to identify skill gaps and EBD training needs, across regions. Analyzes performance data and feedback to inform the development of targeted training programs.
  • Project Management: Plans and organizes training initiatives, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Cross Collaboration with Upstream Marketing: Supports the upstream marketing team with the development of select training asset(s) and training for e.g., Human Factors testing required for FDA submissions. 
  • Communication & Presentation: Leads the delivery of the EBD franchise training programs for the Regional Train the Trainers teams and Global Speaker Pool, identifying the right methods and ensuring consistency across regions. Communicates continuously with the Strategic Marketing Device team, GPRE and Regional Marketing to align training initiatives with the franchise and regional objectives. Provides regular updates on the status of training programs and their impact on the EBD business performance.
  • Implementation & Tracking: Effectively implements the training strategies for the brands of the EBD franchise and future innovations, including management of program design and support materials, in close partnership with the regions and GPRE. Ensures Regional Train the Trainers teams and Global Speaker Pool have the necessary knowledge and tools to support the brands of the EBD franchise and future innovations.
  • Budget Management: They are responsible for the training budget and resources: yearly planning and proper management throughout the year.
  • Professional Development: Stays abreast of the Aesthetics industry trends and advancements in training and development, particularly in the EBD space. Continuously enhances personal and team capabilities through ongoing professional development.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
  • 7+ years in training & education development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience in the Aesthetics Industry, especially in the EBD space
  • Experience in the Pharmacy industry is also valued
  • Sales experience an advantage

Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Proven track record in training and education, including extensive facilitation and instructional design experience for a variety of adult learners in a global environment
  • Proven project management skills including planning, logistics, program management, budgeting
  • Skilled in creating and fostering positive partnerships throughout an organization and able to navigate and influence successfully across levels and functions.
  • Customer focused with a commitment to delivering trusted results.
  • Analytical skills to conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements and to analyze performance data to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Able to proactively identify opportunities and provide creative and resourceful solutions.
  • Experience in evolving in complex cross-functional teams and known for being a strong collaborator. Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to manage conflicting points of view and arrive quickly at a solution that is in the best interests of the brand/business.
  • Fluent in English
  • Additional languages appreciated
  • Technology Proficiency:
    • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for managing and tracking training programs
    • Proficiency in using e-learning authoring tools and other digital training resources
