Purchasing and Inventory Manager

The Purchasing-Inventory Manager must hold a bachelors degree in supply chain, Business Administration or Materials Management. Must have extensive experience in supply chain and managing all purchasing activities and vendor negotiations for an organization. Must have 5 years experience in Purchasing and Materials Management. Must have strong organizational skills, negotiation skills, inventory planning, and 2 years of leadership experience. Must be proficient in computers and Excel. The Purchasing-Inventory Manager must be willing to work onsite, flexible in schedule and willing to travel, as needed.
Hickory, NC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

The Purchasing-Inventory Manager reports to Chief Operating Officer
Must be responsible for all negotiations with vendors regarding pricing, discounts, freight, PO system compliance, budgets etc.Must lead purchasing strategies, develop and maintaining rapport with internal stakeholders, company executives, suppliers and vendorsMust partner with Operations, Finance and Maintenance teamsThe Purchasing-Inventory Manager must manage a team of purchasing coordinators, review and manage inventory spend down, maintain par levels and delivery schedules for all locations.Ensure delivery schedules are maintained on a constant basis and train communities on purchasing procedures.
