Housing is an essential component of recovery and independence. View Point Health offers a full continuum of residential services to adults with psychiatric needs and provides stability for individuals experiencing homelessness. The Adult MH Supportive Housing Program is in search of a passionate, skilled, and dedicated MH Residential Site Supervisor to become a part of our dynamic team! Under general supervision, the MH Residential Site Supervisor manages operations, supervises direct care staff and monitors resident activity in a personal care home or other community residential site serving consumers with mental illnesses and/or developmental disabilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Trains staff on the basic premises of the residential services program: positive consumer interactions, respect for consumer rights and dignity, and use of normalization principles.Provides training and oversight in daily living skills and personal care, such as dressing, hygiene, housekeeping, cooking, laundry, money management and socialization skills using techniques appropriate for their abilities.Ensures an appropriate daily schedule, recreational schedule and daily menu according to agency protocols and procedures. Ensures the planning and preparation of balanced meals.Supervises the self-administration of individuals medications using agency protocols. Maintains require records.Counsels subordinate staff individually on job performance, monitors their compliance with agency and program procedures, and formally evaluates staff performance using methods and timelines prescribed by the agency.Schedules staff to assure 24-hr. shift coverage and minimize use of overtime working hours. Covers shifts when necessary.Participate in the recruitment, hiring, orientation, commendation, promotion, and disciplinary adverse action of subordinate staff. Follows Fair Labor Standards Act and all other legal and agency requirements regarding scheduling, hours worked and granting compensatory time and overtime for non-exempt subordinates.Reviews time records submitted by non-exempt subordinates for accuracy and completeness. Apply consistent standards for approval or denial of leave that comply with agency policies and procedures related to use of leave and suggested minimum balances.Regularly counsel employees whose leave balances or leave use are below standards and/or takes other appropriate disciplinary actions.Ensures that the pay information submitted to each employee is complete and accurate by verifying leave approvals and records of time worked. Promptly notify the manager and/or the Human Resources office when salaried employees go off the payroll due to resignations or require pay adjustments for leave without pay or other issues.Comply with legal requirements and agency policies regarding timelines and documentation for Family Leave requests and other requests for leave of absence.Participates as a member of the treatment team for consumers under their care. Provides input into treatment and discharge plans based on observation of consumer strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.Works with other service providers and staff in support of effective consumer treatment, linkage, communication, and continuity of services. Assists individuals in basic problem-solving and daily decision-making using the least intrusive methods appropriate for each.Provides leadership and support to subordinate staff as they work on goals and objectives identified in consumer treatment plans. Write progress notes and other supportive documentation that is compliant with program, payer, and agency requirements. Keeps records on each consumer that comply with all regulations for content and maintenance.Monitors and maintains the residential site and its equipment, supplies, and assigned vehicle. Ensures general cleanliness and orderliness of the site, vehicle, and equipment. Communicates with landlords regarding physical plant repairs and maintenance. Ensures site and vehicle compliance with health and safety regulations. Uses personal vehicle for transportation needs when agency vehicle is unavailable. Transports individuals to work, day programs, doctor appointments, and shopping, recreational and other activities. Serves as safety officer for the site and is on-call for initial response to consumer, staff or site emergencies. Represents the site at meetings, tours and visits, inspections, audits and evaluations.Maintains site management records, logs, notes and reports necessary for licensure, accreditation, and other requirements.Lifts and carries groceries and supplies and move furniture for cleaning. Assists disabled individuals on/off vehicle and secures seatbelts. Performs other duties that require moderate lifting. May use a gait belt or mechanical lift to lift and position individuals, as needed.Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience providing social or direct care services to groups of special needs individuals in a human service setting, which includes one (1) year experience as a lead worker, team lead, or supervisory role; or One (1) year of experience at the lower-level Client Support Worker 3 (SSS012) or equivalent position.
Note: Must be 21 years of age and have valid Georgia Driver's License, and a clean motor vehicle report.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year experience providing social or direct care services to groups of special needs individuals in a human services setting

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screensMust have valid Drivers License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policyMust pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)Requires TB Evaluation at pre-employment and annuallyMust successfully complete VPH New Hire Trainings, cross train at other VPH MH Homes, and complete 16 hours of training annuallyMust be able to lift 20 poundsRequires long periods of sitting/standingMust have the following technical skills Word, Excel and Electronic Health Record (Care Logic)Must be willing to transport residents in company vanMust demonstrate the ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients in an intense residential treatment settingMust demonstrate the ability to appropriately redirect challenging behaviors of clients in an intense residential treatment settingMust be able to lift and carry groceries and supplies and move furniture for cleaningMust be able to assist disabled individuals on/off vehicle and secure seatbeltsMust be able to use a gait belt and mechanical lift to lift and position individuals, as neededMust be willing to travel between Gwinnett, Rockdale and Newton counties to provide support for clients in the Mental Health Community or to support coverage at another VPH MH home, when needed.
