What You'll Get to Do

The CNC Operator 2 is focused on operating all milling and multi-fabrication CNC equipment and strives to deliver Optimal Equipment Effectiveness. The CNC Operator 2 reports to the Department Supervisor.

 

This role is perfect for an individual who is detail oriented, has excellent problem-solving skills, and adaptability.  A vital member of the CNC Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

 

Job responsibilities include:

  • Ability to operate all milling and multi-fabrication CNC equipment
  • Interpret work orders and blueprints to determine machining requirements
  • Set-up and operate multi-axis CNC machining centers
  • Ensuring proper machine adjustments
  • Machine of quality parts for window & door manufacture
  • Inspect completed parts according to specifications
  • Document & report productivity and non-conforming records
  • Perform daily maintenance activities to machines as prescribed
  • Maintain a clean and orderly machines & workstations
  • Participate in and contribute to a continuous improvement culture
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Experienced skill level in CNC machining
  • Ability to utilize various machine-shop measuring instruments
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/64” accuracy
  • Can understand and convert decimal measurement values to fractional to the nearest 1/16"
  • Detail-oriented professional experience
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Computer competency related to CNC controllers
  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical school training helpful
