Maintenance/Calibration Associate II (Architecture)

A Brief Overview:

Provide maintenance support for the company including production, quality and R&D.  Contribute to efficiency and professional atmosphere of facilities through effective, timely maintenance of production, quality and R&D equipment and overall facilities. Coordinate testing, calibration and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment for conformance to established standards; this includes following calibration methodology and procedures for existing and newly installed instrumentation and equipment, and support equipment Installation and Operational Qualification activities as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Corrective Maintenance/Calibration

  • Assist with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other repairs or recalibration as necessary to equipment and buildings.

Preventative Maintenance

  • Perform timely inspection and preventative maintenance per defined procedures for productions equipment and buildings.

  • Complete PM documentation (electronic and/or paper) and analyze test results in accordance with internal SOP's and cGMP requirements.

Program Assistance

  • Provide assistance to Engineering and R&D efforts in performing key activities.

Project Management

  • Assist with supervision and coordination of tasks with outside contractors and vendors for small to medium projects, maintenance or calibration activities.

On Call

  •  Rotation of “On Call” duties for repair, maintenance, and/or calibration of the equipment and facility with other assigned staff.

Calibration

  • Assist with coordination of the calibration of manufacturing and product testing equipment.

  • Generate calibration documents and analyze test results in accordance with internal SOP's and cGMP requirements.

  • Review and approve work order calibration and associated supporting documentation.

Education: 

  • Associates Degree in automotive technology, industrial/electrical technology or related field. Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Sound knowledge of various trades. Required

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, electrical or related trades. Preferred

  • Experience working with hand tools, calibration equipment, and electrical test equipment. Preferred

  • Electrical/mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to manage time efficiently and reliable.

  • Good communications skills both written and verbal.

  • Familiar with ISO 9000/ISO 13485 Quality System Standards, FDA Quality System.

  • Regulations, GMP's and/or other international medical device regulations.

  • Basic working knowledge of fundamental metrology/calibration concepts and practices.

  • Proficient in the use of computers including use of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required

  • Understanding of and experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software.

Driver license required

Physical ability to: work overhead, in confined spaces and at heights; lift and carry up to 35 pounds; climb/descend stairs/ladders; and dexterity to work on intricate/complex assemblies.

Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull up to 250 pounds on occasion
