Pay:$57,000 to $67,000/year

Position Summary:

The Marking and Quality Specialist is a dual-focused role responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in apparel production while also managing efficient marker planning and material usage. This position serves as a key liaison between Production and Product Development, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term process improvements. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills in garment construction, fabric utilization, and digital marker making.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will be required to...

Quality Control

  • Inspect and audit garments at various production stages to ensure compliance with company standards, design specifications, and customer expectations.
  • Evaluate fabric quality, stitching, measurements, color consistency, and overall construction.
  • Identify and document defects, communicate findings with production teams and track corrective actions.
  • Partner with Production and Product Development teams to resolve manufacturing issues and implement continuous improvements.
  • Act as a liaison between Production and Product Development to ensure seamless communication and alignment of product standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and summaries of quality audits and recommend process enhancements.
Marker Making & Production Support
  • Plan and produce efficient markers for all required "roll goods," ensuring optimal material utilization and contractor needs.
  • Generate marker files, cutter files, plot files, and required paperwork for domestic and international facilities.
  • Review and update pattern files to align with production requests and specification sheets.
  • Verify accuracy of AccuMark Models, Yield Lion AccuMark Variables, and other marker data by style and specification.
  • Maintain detailed reports of marker planning, fabric usage, and yields.
  • Collaborate with production scheduling teams to meet timelines and contractor requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Apparel/Textiles, Fashion Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in apparel quality control, marker making, or a related production role.
  • Proficient in Gerber AccuMark or CAD software required.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and apparel manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to production facilities and contractors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player and able to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ Years of Pattern making experience.
  • 3-5 Years of experience in Gerber Acamar System.

Physical Requirements:
  • Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Frequent standing and walking. Constant sitting.
