Clinician I - PATH (501) (Education)

Clinician I (unlicensed) - PATH (501)
Fresno, CA

The Clinician I is an unlicensed, board-registered mental health professional (e.g., AMFT, ASW, APCC) who provides direct services to consumers under the supervision of a licensed clinician. Responsibilities include assisting with diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management within scope and supervision requirements. The Clinician I collaborates with community partners to support coordinated care, maintains timely and accurate documentation per agency and payer standards, and promptly consults/escalates high-risk cases to the clinical supervisor.

How will I contribute
Perform thorough mental health assessments to develop a clinical understanding of individual needs and provide treatment recommendations.
Deliver direct mental health services under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/Manager, using appropriate therapeutic modalities to meet diverse consumer needs.
Maintain clear, accurate, and concise records; complete documentation the same day of service at least 80% of the time and in accordance with agency/county standards.
Meet a 70% productivity expectation, aligning service delivery and documentation with program goals.
Enter all required service information in the County HHSA Management Information System (e.g., ESALs) by the end of each shift.
Collaborate with community partners; provide professional linkage and consultation to support continuity of care.
Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and treatment planning; promptly escalate high-risk cases to the supervisor and seek guidance as needed.
Support program operations as directed (e.g., data pulls, basic report prep, outreach tasks), while not providing clinical supervision or approving others documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall functioning and success of the program.
May encounter risk of working with persons with SMI (serious mental illness) that may include, but not limited to persons in mental health crisis, persons that may be intoxicated or impaired by drugs or alcohol, persons who may be DTO (danger to others), DTS (Danger to Self), or GD (Gravely Disabled). If such situations arise, staff will be required to call local emergency personnel to help deescalate the crisis, use crisis intervention techniques, and consult with supervisor as soon as practically possible.

What I bring
Master's degree: Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
Current Associate Licensure ASW, AMFT, APCC. Must have a National Provider Identification (NPI) number or obtain an NPI number prior to start date
1 year experience or training in diagnostic evaluation, assessment, treatment planning, and psychotherapy.
Class C Driving License
EHR experience and proficient in computer skills, knowledgeable regarding outcomes measures, breadth of knowledge encompassing various and diverse psychological interventions and theories, competency in adhering to budget.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential for assisting with various tasks. Flexibility, a willingness to learn, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities are important characteristics for success in the role.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
