SEEKING INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR: Dementia Program Psychologist

JFSA, a major healthcare, behavioral health and human services provider that has been in existence for over 150 years, has an exciting and unique opportunity for an independent licensed psychologist with prior Gerontology experience and neuropsychological testing background working in a PRN capacity, 8-10 hours per month, within our dementia care program. The program is made up of a multi-specialty team that includes geriatricians specializing in memory care; care navigators; a psychologist who performs MOCA and GDS for the program clients; therapists; in-home care; and many other professionals who provide care coordination for people with dementia and their caregivers. The days and hours are flexible can be done over a few weeks, all at once, or any combination that a provider may choose. The individual needs to be able to administer dementia-related screening tools (MOCA, GDS) and assess the results for new and established clients to decide whether more in-depth assessment or referral to the geriatrician is required. This is an independent position working with geriatrician collaboration to help physician determine the best course of treatment for patients at risk of developing dementia or diagnosed with dementia. We require a graduate degree in psychology from an accredited psychology program (PhD).
