Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join our team. This role involves providing athletic training services to high school and college-level athletes, as well as delivering patient care in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in both on-field injury management and rehabilitation, as well as outpatient clinical care, and be passionate about athlete health and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide athletic training services to high school and college athletes during practices, games, and training sessions.
Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate sports-related injuries and conditions.
Maintain accurate documentation of injuries, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Collaborate with coaches, athletic directors, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive athlete care.
Assist with clinical responsibilities in an outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine clinic.
Support the development and implementation of injury prevention programs.
Educate athletes, parents, and staff on injury care, rehabilitation protocols, and overall health and wellness.
Provide emergency care and injury triage as needed.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards related to athletic training services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program.
BOC Certification (Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer).
Current Missouri licensure as an Athletic Trainer.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Previous experience working with high school and/or collegiate athletes preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with high school and college athletes.
Familiarity with EMR systems and HIPAA regulations.
Work Environment:
Indoor and outdoor environments including gyms, fields, and clinics.
Physically demanding: standing, waking, lifting equipment, assisting injured athletes.
