Business/Job Title: Solution Architect

As a CPQ Solution Architect, you will lead the design, implementation and optimization of our configure, price and quote solution. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze our end-to-end sales process requirements to deliver scalable, efficient, and innovative CPQ solutions. You will collaborate with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Software Engineers and other stakeholders to envision, design, and build solutions and drive their execution to ensure business outcomes are achieved. What You'll Do

  • Applies advanced technical principles, techniques, theories and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and theories.
  • Serve as the primary architect and subject matter expert for Oracle CPQ, leading end-to-end solution design across multiple business units and geographies.
  • Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their solution architecture into a final product.
  • Guide teams on system configuration, scripting (BMQL, BML), commerce processes, document generation, and integrations.
  • Ensures alignment between EA roadmap and solutions being delivered.
  • Collaborates with delivery teams during application design, assisting product teams with interoperability, performance, scalability, reliability, availability, technology and security risks.
  • Develop and maintain solution documentation including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and integration contracts.
  • Lead technical workshops, solution walkthroughs, and design review sessions with cross-functional teams including sales, product, finance, and IT stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical and functional specifications.
  • Participates in defining platform standards. Stay current with Oracle CPQ product roadmap and advocate for enhancements and best practices.
  • Partners with engineers to troubleshoot and provide solutions for production issues and leadership in system scalability, technical debt management, and ongoing operational excellence.
  • Prepares and present designs and any known exceptions to Architecture Review Board (ARB)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • Experienced with modern interface patterns and techniques.
  • Experience with one or more cloud service providers and their respective environments
  • Database and data modeling experience and understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Advanced skills in paradigms such as Object Oriented, Functional, or Event Driven.
  • Experienced with manipulating large datasets across heterogeneous systems, and with Data Integration
  • technologies and solutions.
  • Proficiency in Event-Driven architectures, enabling the design of responsive and scalable systems.
  • Experience in enterprise architecture frameworks and one or more Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) tools

  • Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams, actively contributing to identifying business requirements and assessing technical feasibility.
  • Commitment to staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or commiserate work experience.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in a technical development role in Information Technology
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a software engineer or solutions architect focused on Oracle CPQ.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Oracle CPQ development including BMQL, BML, Commerce Processes, Document Designer, Pricing Portal, and Configuration Rules.
  • Experience in supporting and implementing Oracle CPQ in an Enterprise environment with complex configurations for pricing, product and discounting.
  • Experience with integrations to Salesforce, Oracle EBS, Oracle RMCS and other CRM and related systems.
  • Deep understanding of CPQ business processes including guided selling, deal structuring, approval workflows, and quote-to-cash.
  • Understanding of subscription management lifecycle
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.

The annual base pay for this position is: $200,800.00 - $301,200.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5's differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
