Position Summary: The Talent & Engagement Specialist plays a key role in creating a high-impact employee experience by managing the full recruitment lifecycle, leading new hire onboarding, supporting internal communication strategies, overseeing learning management systems, and contributing to a positive and engaging workplace culture

Priorities

  • Talent Acquisition: Manage full-cycle recruitment including posting, sourcing, conducting interviews and guiding the offer process
  • Onboarding & New Hire Experience: Lead onboarding sessions, welcome communications and first week logistics
  • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration: Maintain and manage the company's LMS, including uploading courses and tracking employee completion.
  • Internal Communications: Develop and distribute the monthly HR newsletter and internal communications related to programs, policy updates and company culture initiatives
  • Culture & Engagement:  Lead company Culture Ambassador program; champion the organization's values, acting as a culture steward and partner in driving engagement, inclusion and a sense of belonging.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle documentation.
  • Support special projects such as performance management cycles, engagement surveys, and benefit communication campaigns.
  • Build and maintain a resource training and development library by ensuring that resources are available.
  • Provide support and backup for other HR functions as needed

The pay range is $52,000 – 60,000 annual equivalent.  Starting pay rate will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable agreement. Dependent on the length of service, hours worked, and applicable agreements, benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and optional disability insurance, sick pay of 2.66 hours for every 80 hours worked, Vacation pay of 3.08 hours for every 80 hours worked, paid holidays (6 days annually), three personal days (prorated based on start date), bereavement pay and retirement benefits.

Technology Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, Canva, and Outlook.
  • Competent with Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Learning Management Systems (LMS) (Paycom preferred)
  • Experience with Presentation Software (Canva preferred), Learning Management Systems (Paycom a plus)

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): The following are required to enable job holders to perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of Human Resource and/or Learning and Development experience with experience creating training programs and delivering content.
  • Strong written communication and content development skills with and ability to communicate effectively to all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability in project management and/or implementation of new processes, initiatives, and programs.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated passion for workplace culture, employee experience and engagement.
